Uploading the image, you will be given the opportunity to crop the image to these Linkedin Header Image dimensions of 646×220 pixels.

Protip

Make sure after you upload your image and save changes that you navigate to the upper right hand corner and hit Publish. This step isn’t displayed prominently, and may cause some frustration if you are just clicking Save and your head image disappears.

Improved Design Features:

  • Better Navigation: Highlight your company’s products, services, and relevant career opportunities on the top of your overview page. This provides users improved navigation so they can find the information they need as easily as possible.
  • Engage Followers: Stats updates now show up front and center, so it’s easier for visitors to read, like, comment and share. Just like Facebook’s pinned post, you can also feature and update by selecting Feature this update which will lock the post to the top of the page.
  • Going Mobile: One added improvement is that company pages now appear on Linkedin’s mobile and iPhone apps giving you even more opportunities to interact with your target audience.

 Question

How important is a company’s online visual representation to you? Would you consider not applying to a company that doesn’t proactively update their Linkedin considering it is the preferred professional social network and now available via mobile apps?
